A vertical Line passes through the point (2,6). What is the equation of the line? ( is the answer X=2 or am I suppose to do f(x)=2x+6y and the answer equals to y=-x/3)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yep it's x = 2 because every x coordinate on this vertical line has an x coordinate of 2

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

sorry I meant to say "every point on this line has an x coordinate of 2"

But my friend said its suppose to be y= -x/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isnt it suppose to be y= -x/3

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
