MIT 18.06 Linear Algebra, Spring 2010 22 Online
OpenStudy (unknownunknown):

Can anyone who has done the MIT 18.02 multivariable calculus comment on whether this 18.06 has errors in the PDFs like the 18.02 does? I had to quit the 18.02 course because of so many errors. Advice from someone who has done both and knows what I'm talking about? Thanks

OpenStudy (joshdanziger23):

Hi, I did 18.06 first and am now doing 18.02, currently halfway through. I thought 18.06 was an excellent course. Most of the material outside the lectures themselves comes from Prof Strang's textbook, so I expected it to be high quality. I did find a few mistakes (or at least what I think are mistakes!) in the answers to the textbook exercises, and these became more common in the later parts of the course, but they weren't so numerous as to stop me progressing. My experience of 18.02 so far is similar: there are some pdf errors but I can still progress. The 18.06 lectures were more stimulating than the 18.02 ones: to my mind Prof Strang does a great job of communicating an intuitive grasp of linear algebra. Good luck! Josh

Thanks Josh for this, I'll give 18.06 a go
