~hello friends~ so I am writing a book I don't want my book to have any type of romance in it because I want to focus on the actual story line but I do want to imply two things. 1- an affair between a husband and this other lady that is not his wife 2- my MC gets kissed Like I want it to be subtly implied but I can't figure out any good techniques either :/ help?

I think you could focus on how the affair affects the story, not the affair itself. I've done many things like that in my book. As an example, one of my characters gets caught up into a terrible forced marriage. (My book is a fantasy just to clarify.) But I focused on how it affected the character, and how the changes would affect the story, not the marriage itself, even if she was a minor character. You could do the same with your main character being kissed. Just focus on the impact it has instead of it itself. I'm not trying to tell you to 'start writing like me' or anything, I'm just saying that this works for me, so it might for you too. Anyway I hope this helps.

@shards-of-a-soul Oh man I know that's sad but that sounds like quite an interesting story. I hope it had a happy ending. :] Oh no man I totally get what you're saying. Those two topics of mine do affect the story so writing like you would definitely help fit that in. Thanks your opinion totally helped!

@lostintime Oh, I didn't expect it to help that much, thanks.
