What subset does 47 belong too? Please halpp I suck at this.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(47\) is a prime number firstly.. Also \(47\) is an odd number too.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But the only choices are: A.)Rational numbers B.)Irrational numbers C.)Whole numbers, integers, rational numbers D.) whole numbers, natural numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, it is not fair, when you had options, then you should have written those..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

See, Natural numbers are, which you use for counting something, like 1, 2, 3 4 ...... It does not include 0, please note that.. Whole Numbers are just same as Natural numbers, but they include 0 too.. Integers are whole numbers only, but you can take -ve values too here. like -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3 etc..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Rational Numbers are like which can be written in p/q form where p and q are integers.. And Irrational numbers are which can't be written in p/q form like \(\sqrt{2}\)..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you read all this definitions carefully, you find that C fits the bill.. And it is rational because it can be written like 47/1 (p/q) form where 47 and 1 both are integers..
