well x is how many 5 lb boxes so 5x is 5 times the number of 5 lb boxes you buy same for 10y 10 times the number of 10lb boxes.... whilst this would mean you are buying more than 30lb.... do you think it's correct... remember x is the NUMBER of 5lb boxes... y is the NUMBER of 10lb boxes
