Algebra help. Can you go over on how you got the answer?
1/3(7x+12)=13

ok so to start with you have to multiply the 1/3 by the numbers in the parenthesis (i find it easier to change the fraction to a decimal so itd be .333) .33(7x+12)=13.... so you get 2.3x+3.996=13

then you subtract 3.996 by both sides
2.3x=9.004
now you divide 2.3 by both sides to get x by its self
x=3.915
