Try multiplying everything by \[\frac{ 4x }{ 4x }\] same as multiplying by 1

OpenStudy (danjs):

basicaly factoring out what each of those terms has in common, a 4 for the number and an x for the variable, pull that out front, and divide each term by that greatest factor
