hello can anyone please help me with this equation please http://www.webassign.net/cgi-perl/symimage.cgi?expr=%20lim_%28x-%3E-1%29%20%282x%5E2%20-%202%20x%20-%204%29%2F%28x%20%2B%201%29%20

\[\lim_{x \rightarrow -1}\frac{ (2x-4)(x+1) }{ (x+1) }, \lim_{x \rightarrow -1}2x-4=-6\]

when we insert -1 instead of x, the fraction is undefined since denominator is 0. so we need to factor the numerator such that we get rid of (x+1).
