So i know this isnt a math question but it is DEAD in lit so pz answer mi question (1) One of India's most influential contributions to world literature is the collection of short stories called the Panchatantra. (2) It consists of five books of animal fables and magic tales. (3) It was compiled in its current form between the third and fifth centuries A.D. (4) The tales' self-proclaimed purpose is to educate the sons of royalty. Identify the topic sentence in the above passage.

Well, the topic sentence is the main idea of what you're reading, for starters.

Usually the topic sentence is at the beginning of the passage you're reading.

I would think so. Academically they seem to always drill it into our heads that the topic sentence is at the beginning. It states what they are going to be talking about in the passage, so yes.
