Write an expression for the perimeter of the triangle shown below: A triangle is shown with side lengths labeled 2.3x plus 14, 2x, and negative 0.2x plus 15. 4.1x + 29 4.1x − 29 4.5x + 29 4.5x − 29
@texaschic101 do you mind helping with this?

Do you know where to go from here?
Um not really
Alright in this question they want us to find the perimeter in terms of the side length
We know each of the side lengths as i drew in the diagram above.
Therefore if the Perimeter of a triangle is equal to the sum of its sides. The equation we would produce is
P = 2.3x+14 + 2x +.2x and then just condense it
oh my bad
20.3
I misread one of the sides
oh
|dw:1445013399597:dw| there we go so the equation should be 2.3x+14+2x+.2x+15
P = 2.3x+14+2x+.2x+15 is equivalent to which answer?
C 33.5
am i correct?
where are u getting the 33.5?
sorry 35.3
oh you added 2.3+14+2+.2+15 to get 33.5 but you forgot about the x values
You need to combine only the values that have a x with other values that have a x like this 2.3x + .2x + 2x and then add together 14+15 and you have your answer
so 6.3 + 29
?
@sweetburger am i right?
