So the people thought that the pharaohs pretty much were the gods. I couldn't find an answer to the choices you have. But they felt like the pharaohs were the mediators between the gods and the world of men. 
Mediator means- a person who attempted to make people involved in a conflict come to an agreement, a go-between.
