Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

Which of the following processes starts with the nucleus and involves the endoplasmic reticulum and ribosomes? breaking down sugar to obtain energy in the form of ATP assembling amino acids into chains that form structures and enzymes assembling sugar molecules in chains to form stored energy molecules engulfing, digesting, and recycling old worn-out cells and molecules

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

@YoungStudier

OpenStudy (youngstudier):

What do you think?

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

I think it's D

OpenStudy (youngstudier):

Um, no, not quite. If it wasn't for google, I would not know the answer to this. :P

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

haha hmmmmmm B?

OpenStudy (youngstudier):

Yep. Someone had asked this on OS a while back, and Abhisar answered them: Protein synthesis or Translation is done in accordance to the DNA present in the nucleus. First transcription occurs i.e nuclear DNA is transcribed into mRNA which carries the information outside the nucleus to the ribosomes which then translates it to synthesise proteins or amino acids. Also ribosomes are located on the endoplasmic retculum, together they form Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum.

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

AHHH, okay, thanks Young :)

OpenStudy (youngstudier):

No problem. :)
