Can someone tell what goes into 220 and 1760 evenly?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

you can start with 20 and see what you get they are both multiples of 10 and even so start with 20

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Heres the question. 220 is what percent of of 1 mile. (1 mile = 1760 yards) I'm not sure what to do.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hmm 220 ducks?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

if it's 220 yards then you could just take into account that 1mile is 1760 yards, or 100% so 100% of 1 mile is 1760 or \(\begin{array}{ccllll} yards&\$ \\\hline\\ 1760&100\\ 220&x \end{array}\implies \cfrac{1760}{220}=\cfrac{100}{x}\)

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hmmm shoot, I meant % rather than $ anyhow =)

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

\(\begin{array}{ccllll} yards&\% \\\hline\\ 1760&100\\ 220&x \end{array}\implies \cfrac{1760}{220}=\cfrac{100}{x}\)
