40. yep its D because the answer is the reciprocal of answer B. why? because by isolating a, i assume you got 1/a=(3+5c)Q. well since a is in the bottom on the left side, you must make it so it's in the numerator. if you do that then it's essentially switching from bottom to top, so you need to switch the other side too, so Q goes to the bottom and (3+5c) goes on top. i suck at explaining but yeah that's p simple. For 41, C is correct. you just plug in the points for x and y and see which equation is right !
