WILL FAN AND MEDAL!
@youngstudier do you know the answer ill fan and medal
Do you understand the concept of doing composite functions?
yeah i just need the answer
im not looking for an explanation just this problem i dont have time for
Why don't you have time?
college and high school:-/ dont have time for unnecessary problems
That is a terrible excuse. Any problem you do in math is always necessary, no matter how stupid of a concept you think it is. This isn't the correct place to just ask for answers. Ask for help on how to do it, not what it is.
@shadowlegendx could you maybe help me out?
You obviously don't understand the concept because this problem can be done in literally one step. The answer is 20x^2-1
crap yeah i guess i didnt:( this is really hard for me
Do you want me to explain it to you?
if you have time:)
Always! So whenever you see a problem that has something like (f*g)(x), it helps me to write it out as f(g(x)). That reminds me that the answer to function g will be put into function f. To start the equation, we need to find the answer to function g(x). What that means is that in the function 5x^2, you have to plug in what your function is finding- in this case ,x, because you are looking for g(-->x<--) (That is what is plugged into functions). When you plug in x in 5x^2, you are left with 5x^2. Then, you take the solution from g(x), 5x^2, and you plug that into function f. This gives you 4(5x^2)-1. You substitute the x in function f for the solution of function g. After that, you just simplify it. That simplifies down to 20x^2-1. Your end result is f(g(x))=20x^2-1
