inverse of y=7+x+2e^x

OpenStudy (freckles):

are you trying to find the inverse evaluated at some number or the inverse function I ask because to find the inverse function you have to be aware of lambert's function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's to find the inverse evaluated at 9

OpenStudy (freckles):

\[f^{-1}(9)=x \implies f(x)=9 \\ \text{ so you just need to look at this and say for what } \\ \text{ value of } x \text{ the following equation holds } \\ 9=7+x+2e^{x} \\ \text{ this value should be pretty obvious }\]

OpenStudy (freckles):

hint 7+0+2 equals?

OpenStudy (freckles):

so x is?

OpenStudy (freckles):

@kdancer03 are you there?

OpenStudy (freckles):

Having trouble?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got it the answer is 0.

OpenStudy (freckles):

right since f(0)=9 then f^(-1)(9)=0
