(f-g)(x)=f(x)-g(x)
(f*g)(x)=f(x)*g(x)
(f/g)(x)=f(x)/g(x) provided g(x) is not equal to zero
(g/f)(x)=g(x)/f(x) provided f(x) is not equal to zero

see suppose we have f(x)=2x and g(x)=x+2
then (f+g)(x)=f(x)+g(x)=2x+x+2=3x+2. do you follow this example/
