OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need help writting an essay over the story

OpenStudy (word2):

you mean like a summary? do you have a prompt? because there's a lot of different things you can write on Mcbeth

OpenStudy (anonymous):

PROMPTS: 1. Select a “secondary” character (Banquo, Macduff, Malcolm) and analyze the way in which he or she serves as a foil to a central character and thus help to expand your understanding by contrast. (A foil is a character who enhances another through contrast). You could also theoretically use Lady Macbeth as a secondary character to Macbeth. 2. Does power corrupt automatically? Apply this famous expression to the events and characters in Macbeth. You can focus on a single character or several. You may take the position that it always corrupts, never corrupts, or sometimes corrupts, but be sure to provide textual support. 3. Is Macbeth a tragedy of fate or of character? In determining your position on this, consider whether the witches play a central or collateral role in shifting the ambitions and actions of the play’s characters. Those are my prompts and i don't know how to write an essay over any of them if you could help me i would really appreciatie it.

OpenStudy (word2):

alright , now let's try to come up with a thesis statement for you introduction. answer these questions for me; do you think that Macbeth a tragedy of fate or of character? meaning do you think that all of these tragic /horrible things happened to him because of the type of person he is or because it was suppose to happen? do the witches play a central or collateral role in shifting the ambitions and actions of the play’s characters. ... meaning do you think they are the ones who made everything happen such as the motivations of the plays characters, and the characters ambitions or were the witches just helping making things happen.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think that this happened because of the character he is i also think that they where helping make things happen. @word2

OpenStudy (word2):

alright lets start your introduction paragraph now that we have your "thesis" statement. "at every point Macbeth chooses to do something bad, he receives some sort of sign telling him to turn back, but he ignores it. The witches egg him on and tell him that he will be destined to rule over Scotland, they play a collateral role; you cannot blame them for Macbeth's sins, but they certainly did help push him down his path" okay i want to make it clear that is not what your WHOLE introduction should be, this is just to give you a clue of what you should talk about in your first paragraph , and help you decide how you want to start it off . You should make it more length and also your thesis statement needs to be at the END of the paragraph. remember your paragraph needs to be between 7-8 sentences. when you have your introduction , paste it and tag me, i will help you fix any errors you may make .
