If someone can please help me out, I really need help. 1.) Thomas Paine, a key figure in the American Revolution, once said, "It is only error, and not truth, that shrinks from inquiry." What do you think he meant by this? 2.) Do you think any significant discoveries have been made from errors? Can you describe one? 3.) When doing an investigation, if you were to make a mistake what do you suppose you should do?
1. Thomas Paine meant that the more you inquire about something, the less error and mistakes come from it, and more truth will. It means you can not make a problem worse by inquiring about it, you can only lessen the error within it.
I have that answer already, I just need the other 2 but thanks
3. I suppose you should go back and find out where you made your mistake and redo it before any further mistakes are made!
2.The Popsicle was invented by an 11 year who kept it secret for 18 years. The inventor was Frank Epperson who, in 1905, left a mixture of powdered soda and water out on the porch, which contained a stir stick. That night, temperatures in San Francisco reached a record low. When he woke the next morning, he discovered that it had frozen to the stir stick, creating a fruit flavored ice treat that he humbly named the epsicle. 18 years later he patented it and called it the Popsicle.
Hope that helps
