If we could follow a single red blood cell in an artery of the heart muscle, it would next be found in __________ Select one: a. the left atrium b. the right ventricle c. the right atrium d. the left ventricle e. a lung alveolus

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oxygen-rich blood is pumped to all parts of the body via arteries. Then oxygen-depleted blood returns back into the heart via veins and first enters the right atrium. This is the direction blood flows within the heart... RIGHT atrium -> RIGHT ventricle -> through the pulmonary artery to the lungs -> through the pulmonary vein back into the LEFT atrium -> LEFT ventricle -> and then finally it's pumped through the artery to all parts of the body again! :D

So I think the answer to your question would be 'C' :)
