OpenStudy (elisaneedshelp):

Hey @Nnesha :) Are you willing to help me on factoring quadratic again but this time with leading coefficient greater than 1?

OpenStudy (elisaneedshelp):

\[2y ^{2}+21y+10\]

Nnesha (nnesha):

you can apply same steps but this time you can't write factor as (x+ 1st num)(x+2nd) bec leading coefficient isn't one after finding two numbers you have to apply steps of `factoring by grouping`

OpenStudy (elisaneedshelp):

Can you walk me through this problem? I tried but then I got confused :/

Nnesha (nnesha):

hmm okay let me see what u did so what was ur first step ??

OpenStudy (elisaneedshelp):

Sorry

Nnesha (nnesha):

its okay let's work on this |dw:1445307508378:dw| multiply AC = (a = leading coefficient , c =constant ) find two numbers when we multiply them we should get product of AC and when we add/subtract them we should get middle term(coefficient of x term)
