help? Write the equation of a line with a y-intercept of -3 and perpendicular to y = -1/5 x + 12 A. y = -3x + 12 B. y = -1/5 x - 3 C. y = 5x - 3 D. y = -5x + 12

OpenStudy (jaden20):

You need to find and answer that matches up with the question. So figure out what the equation up at the top is and figure out witch equation for the answers will match.

Well we know of the what the y-intercept is so most likely we can scratch out A and D...

k lol

so c?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^^

563blackghost (563blackghost):

I would pick that... because if it was B then it would be parallel to each other since lines with the same slope and diffferent intercepts are parallel to each other so we are left with C....so yea

563blackghost (563blackghost):

thnx for medal xD

np haha
