Use function notation to write the equation of the line.

OpenStudy (freemap):

A. f (x) = – 1/2 x – 1 B. f (x) = –2x – 1 C. f (x) = 2x – 1 D. f (x) = –2x + 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B.f(x)=-2x-1

I used Rise over Run to find slope then looked at the Y axis to find the Y-Intercept being negative 1.

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

from your drawing, I see that your line passes at points \((0,-1),(-1,1)\) Please apply this formula: \[\frac{{y - {y_1}}}{{{y_2} - {y_1}}} = \frac{{x - {x_1}}}{{{x_2} - {x_1}}}\]

Thanks @Aaron550
