Well, the great depression indirectly caused WW II. We still have a mess in Israel because of that one. The rise of the U.S. came because of that war. The New Deal introduced well fare. We have all kinds of anti-trust laws as a result of some of the dishonest stock manipulation that happened in the 1930s. Some claim we also eat more meat in reaction to the 1930s generation being so glad when meat was cheap.
