explain please

OpenStudy (jchick):

Do you know how to check them?

OpenStudy (nuccioreggie):

yes but i think its Table b but im not sure

OpenStudy (jchick):

Ok can you explain why you think it is B?

OpenStudy (jchick):

Remember that when we are looking to see if it is a function that there must not be any repeat numbers on the input side.

OpenStudy (jchick):

every x has to only have one y to go with it. You can't have one x have two y's

OpenStudy (jchick):

Does this help? What are you thinking about your answers now?

OpenStudy (jchick):

So because I have explained why I will give you the answer it is Table A.

OpenStudy (jchick):

Because all of the other tables have more than one y without having more than one x
