If there is 1/6 of a cake and Mitchell only wants 3/12 of it, how much of the cake does he want? a. 1/6 b. 4/18 c.1/24 d.3/18* (1/24 is correct I just need to know why i got the answer wrong)

He has only 1/6 and he wants 3/12 of 1/6 . You just multiply both and get 1/24
