Find the range of the function f(x)=|x+y|+1 and the range of the exponential function g(x) represented by the graph below https://northbranchsd.owschools.com/media/o_advalg_2015/2/img_-alg2_9_16a_01_figure11.gif Are they the SAME? EXPLAIN?

OpenStudy (jango_in_dtown):

f(x)=|x+y|+1 >=1 ... so the range is [1, infinity)

So would that mean they are both the same? @jango_IN_DTOWN

OpenStudy (jango_in_dtown):

see the graph tends to 1 but we cannot say that it will touch 1

OpenStudy (jango_in_dtown):

if we consider that the graph touched 1 , then both have the same range,but the confusion remain whether it touched 1 or not @Austin1617

OpenStudy (jango_in_dtown):

hello @Austin1617

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm back sorry I had myself food and let my dog out

@jango_IN_DTOWN How will I be explaining that they are the same?
