Living things in a ecosystem are called?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

An ecosystem is a community of living organisms in conjunction with the nonliving components of their environment (things like air, water and mineral soil), interacting as a system.

OpenStudy (sushi121212):

A living thing in an ecosystem are called biotic factors. Non living things are abiotic factors. A group of living things (or biotic factors) is an ecosystem. A group of one type of organism (like a type of animal or plant) is called a community. Sunlight, temperature, light, rocks, soil, and other non living things are abiotic factors. Animals and plants are biotic factors. I hope this helps!
