This probably isn't the greatest place to ask this.. But what is the difference between a progress report and a report card? I am a k12 student and I just noticed this on Sapphire.. Google didn't help so I figured I would ask on here.
hmm let me try to answer this question :P progress report that you get after 3 weeks (or 9 weeks eh don't even remember) and report card your final score that u get after final exams or midterms
Ah, I see. Apparently, the first quarter of the school year will end this Friday. Do you think I will be given a progress report at that point?
you will get `report card` :P
report card with your midterms score :P hmm how did you do on the midterms ??
But why would I get a report card when the year is only a quarter over? I thought we get 2 report cards. One after the second quarter/when the year is half over and then one after the 4th quarter/end of year. I haven't done any mid-terms.. Granted.. I think what you call midterms.. we call Mid-semester assessment's.
ohh okay then u will get progress report
Since I am ahead in vocabulary and grammar.. I have done the vocabulary mid-semester assessment and I will do the mid-semester assesment for grammar some time this week.. Okay. Danke!
2 semester in a year 4 quarter so 4 report cards 1st quarter - will get report card at the end 2nd quarter(end of the 1st semester ) = `final` report card of 1st semester 3rd quarter ( 1st quarter of 2nd semester ) - 3rd report card 4th quarter (end of 2nd semester) = ` final` report of 2nd semester lol i don't know if that make sense :P
oh good luck!!
1st quarter report will count some % in ur final grade so it's really important to get good grad in first quarter
grades *
The schools require that the parents will be notified regularly of their child’s achievement during the 36-week school year. The reporting shall include a progress report, at the midpoint of each grading period, and a report card at the conclusion of each 9-week or 12-week grading period. The Report Card is a legal document and should reflect the cumulative progress of the student. The progress card is basically what it means the progress of the child not the final grade. We moved to FL in 2010 and I had never heard of a progress card either, so it was new to me.
there is no value of progress report oh wait you might get 100% for just returning it with the parents signature on it ;P #free100
one progress report each quarter that's just a warning for students if they have any late work to turn in..or retake test etc.
Wait, is it K12 High school or middle school?
K12 means Kintergarden through 12th grade so.. All.. I am currently in 8th grade, though.
Oh.. I am in the middle school, now..
wait 8th grade? i thought k12 =12th grade :o
No @Nnesha XD, K12 means from Kindergarten to grade 12 XD XD
ah thanks for the info lol i always thought it's 12th grade :/
Just wanted to throw this in here, when I was in middle/high school a progress report was given after the first and third quarters of the school year. It doesn't resemble a report card that we all know and love lol it merely states whether the progress to this point has been S "satisfactory" or U "Unsatisfactory" *At least where I'm from*
