SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME-- I go to connexus and i am stuck on my geometry quick check. 1. The dashed-line figure is a dilation image of the solid-lined figure. Is the dilation an enlargement or a reduction? What is the scale factor of the dilation?
is the dashed part bigger or smaller than the other one?
bigger. I dont know how to attach a picture
if its bigger, then wht would you say it is, enlarged or reduced?
enlarged?
yep
as far as the scale goes ... comparing similar side lengths would account for it, but would need a picture of it or some close approximation for it
lookup how to screenshot ...
got it
well, lets compare the base ... how long is it on the solid? how long on the dashed?
On the solid it is only 2 squares long and on the dotted it is 6 squares long
then to scale it; 2, times what, is 6? 2x = 6, what is x?
x=3
then there is our scale that we factor it by
So the answer would be 3;enlargement?
sounds good to me
Thank you so much! Could you help me on another one?
cant, its 1215, im going to bed
well thank you for your help!
good luck :)
