As a wave moves through a medium, particles are displaced and return to their normal position after the wave passes. remain in the new location after the wave passes. are combined with other particles forming the wave. are moved along with the wave as it travels through the medium.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just took this test! :P return to their normal position after the wave passes should be the right answer, so A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you I have the test today

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nah no problem, is this 9th grade Science?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you help with a few more

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can try! :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To determine a waves' frequency, you must know the distance it travels. number of oscillations in a given period of time. distance between the crest and trough. height of the wave.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe this is B; number of oscillations in a given period of time

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mmhm no problem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

last one As a wave travels through a medium, it displaces particles in a direction parallel to the motion of the wave. We can conclude this is a transverse wave because the wave is traveling through a medium causing particle displacement. longitudinal wave because the wave is traveling in the same direction at all times. transverse wave because the particle motion is in the same direction as the way the wave is traveling. longitudinal wave because particle displacement is the same direction as the wave.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok this one was tricky but I believe it is longitudinal wave because particle displacement is in the same direction as the wave. So, D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright I have to take my Science pretest..... shoot me XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

intern assessments suckkkk so I gtg

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you so much I see you later

Bye!
