When I lost my possessions, I found my creativity. I felt I was being born for the first time. So for me the world became beautiful. With the Crash, I realized that the greatest fantasy of all was business. The only realistic way of making a living was versifying. Living off your imagination. Based on the excerpt, which best describes Harburg’s view of the Great Depression?
i dont know how to answer this but i can help with my opinion/ interpretation of the excerpt...
i think he is seeing a terrible situation in good light, yes he lost everything and businesses are plummeting but he chose to see the brighter side he found his creative side and found a light at the end of the tunnel through his imagination he sees a thriving business as a fantasy and the only real way to survive the crash is to live off his imagination and creativeness.
