During the 1856 conflict in Kansas, Brown commanded forces at the Battle of Black Jack and the Battle of Osawatomie.[1] Brown's followers killed five slavery supporters at Pottawatomie.[1] In 1859, Brown led an unsuccessful raid on the federal armory at Harpers Ferry that ended with the multi-racial group's capture.[1] Brown's trial resulted in his conviction and a sentence of death by hanging.

jabez177 (jabez177):

D is correct. :) John Brown was a white American abolitionist who believed armed insurrection was the only way to overthrow the institution of slavery in the United States. Wikipedia That means he hated slavery so D also adds up. Nice Job @Vampirelove28, although we're supposed to guide the person to the answer, not just give it out. Just a heads up. :P
