I would love to hear some of your opinions and insights. 1. So normally in books and movies (I am only speaking towards the ones I have read) the main character is either brunette or blond/blonde. I am making my MC with red hair cause that is not something common I have seen/read. I have 4 other "main" or "important" characters and I want them to be unique and out of the ordinary. So please help me pick eye color and hair. :] 2 of them are male and 2 of them are female. 2. So I know what the conflict of my book will be but I don't know who I want the antagonist to be... I was thinking of writing and pretending I am also the reader and choose (discover) the antagonist as I go. Do you think that is a good idea or should I have an antagonist played out already?
1: yes most main characters are skinny blondes with blue eyes I like the Idea of red hair (black isn't as common either) I wouldn't do blue eyes any other color though 2 Thinking as you go is good so go ahead (you can always go back and edit later)
1: Green or hazel eyes would be nice. 2: What DogzCatz said :P
@dogzcatz that's true! I actually don't think I have ever read a book with someone with black hair. thanks :]
@DQbakes green eyes are beautiful and so are hazel, thanks for the idea! :]
speaking from my personal finds i have read many books where a character has long midnight black hair and green eyes those are often characteristics that people think are unique but in truth they have been used multiple times :) if you yearn for unique characters boy#1 i envisioned a head full of snowflake white locks and (because there supernatural) an almost ombre colored set of eye dark purple eyes that softly whiten in the center around the pupil
a pretty dark skinned female with streaks of blue hair and blueish green eyes
for the other female^
Speaking as someone who reads and reviews multiple books a week, here are the hair and eye colors I read ALL the time: Character with brown/jet black/platinum blonde/blonde, brown/hazel/green/blue eyes It's painful to read them all the time and don't get me started on the adjectives.
the last male could have midnight black hair one blue eye and a pale grey eye
the first part I gave was hair* I don't know what happened to the word
Thank you so much guys. Let me read all your comments and I'll reply in a second. :]
@marico099 1- That's really beautiful actually and goes well with one of my male characters. 2- Oh man thats gorgeous and the blue streaks go well with her character type. Also I love that you chose dark skin. I was thinking of making one of them dark skinned since sadly you dont see that a lot ): 3- That's a really good idea. The whole black-amber-orangy mix is gorgeous. 4- That's a really interesting look. Once again thank you so much, you never fail to amaze me! :]
i was thinking maybe one could be indian or like a hispanic
and you are very welcome i love helping with your book its fun to play around with the characters you truly have a world of your own in the palm of your hand
@LifeIsADangerousGame The blonde is the one that kills me the most. Literally almost every book I have read has a dang blonde lol. Thanks for the insight! :]
