Two loudspeakers are mounted on a merry-go-round whose radius is 12.6 m. When stationary, the speakers both play a tone whose frequency is 85.4 Hz. As the drawing illustrates, they are situated at opposite ends of a diameter. The speed of sound is 343.00 m/s, and the merry-go-round revolves once every 16.9 s. What is the beat frequency that is detected by the listener when the merry-go-round is near the position shown? The merry-go-round is moving and one speaker will be at the top and the other at the bottom in front of the listener.
