correct @MrNood  and there is no term called  
 Least Common Divisor 

.. so lowest common denominator is defined as the lcm of the denominators... here the denominators are 2 and 3 so the lcm of 2 and 3 is the answer

I didn't say you were guessing - I said that simply giving the answer 'B' does not let anyone know if you ARE guessing, 

But more importantly it doesn't help the poster to understand the method you used to get the answer, so they will be for ever dependent on other people doing their work for them instead of learning and having the satisfaction of doing ith themselves.
