The second industrial revolution occured between the late 1800s and early 1900s. During The industrial revolution, lots of people migrated to the cities in search of better job opportunities and improved living conditions. Cities exploded in growth. Millions of immigrants arrived. Business workers cared only about money, so workers had 12 hour workdays and child labor was utilized. The industrial revolution led to use of machines which made workers form unions to fight against big business’s to get the right to have a job but due to the machines , workers weren’t really needed.
