Help ASAP Please! What value of x makes the equation true? (–12.3) • (–6.9) • 9.5 = x • 9.5 • (–12.3) x = ???

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

What you need to do is solve for x. (–12.3) • (–6.9) • 9.5 = x • 9.5 • (–12.3) First, multiply everything out.

oh ok thank you!

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

I got 806.265 = -116.85x Now, you need x by itself. So divide both sides by -116.85 x = -6.9 Now plug that number back in and see if it's correct.

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

That's how you would solve any problem like that, however, with this problem, the easiest and quickest method is realizing that they are asking each side to be equal to each other. Both sides are the same except the right side is missing -6.9, which is the answer. :)
