How many positive dividers of 72 can be divided with 3 without remainder?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

72= 2^3.3^2 so we have 8 numbers that can be divided with 3 without remainder am i right

imqwerty (imqwerty):

how did u get that 8? all the numbers which are divisible by 3 and are factors of 2^3.3^2 are either of this form->3(2^a) or of this form->3^2 . 2^a a can take only 3 values that are 0,1,2 (: try to find out the number of values now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because we have 2^3 (8) times 3^2 i also counted the numbers myself

imqwerty (imqwerty):

if u have 2^1 and 3^1 will it mean that u can form 6 different numbers with it?
