OpenStudy (texaschic101):

slope(m) = 2 (3,5)...x1 = 3 and y1 = 5 y - y1 = m(x - x1) <== point slope form y - 5 = 2(x - 3)

OpenStudy (gokuporter):

Why'd you put " y - 5"

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

the point slope form is : y - y1 = m(x - x1) slope(m) = 2 (3,5).....x1 = 3 and y1 = 5 now it is just a matter of subbing and you end up with : y - 5 = 2(x - 3)

Thanks

sure thing :)
