OpenStudy (kanard):

Identify square root of 11 as either rational or irrational and approximate to the tenths place. Rational: square root of 11 ≈ 3.3 Rational: square root of 11 ≈ 3.4 Irrational: square root of 11 ≈ 3.3 Irrational: square root of 11 ≈ 3.4

@AlexandervonHumboldt2

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

`In mathematics, an irrational number is any real number that cannot be expressed as a ratio of integers.`

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

sqrt11 canno't be expressed at a ratio. use a calculator to find the aprromax value

OpenStudy (kanard):

mk

OpenStudy (chealyn98):

I believe this is irrational because the square root doesn't seem to repeat (at least on my calculator!) and it doesn't seem to end. It is approximately 3.3

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

the sqrt11 is an infinite number

OpenStudy (chealyn98):

Yeah

OpenStudy (kanard):

I have two more qeustions

OpenStudy (chealyn98):

Ok

OpenStudy (kanard):

Find negative square root of 36. ± 6 −6 6 18

OpenStudy (kanard):

@amistre64

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

-sqrt36=-(sqrt36) sqrt36=6 thus -6. BUT. 6^2=36, (-6)^2=36 so i would say A

OpenStudy (kanard):

The things says thats wrong but i still got a 90.0
