Math question

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

It is A or C?

Nnesha (nnesha):

tell me why do you think it's A or C ?

Nnesha (nnesha):

when you say it's A ,B ,C ,D please post explanation as well.

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

Because I know the inverse has to have x-3, so I think A or C...

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

starting from this equation: \[y = 2\sqrt x + 3\] we have to solve it for \(x\)

Nnesha (nnesha):

well C isn't x-3 what would be the first step to find inverse ??

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

hint: If I subtract \(3\) from both sides, i get: \[y - 3 = 2\sqrt x \]

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

Ok and what is the next step?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

I divide by \(2\) both sides, so I write this: \[\frac{{y - 3}}{2} = \sqrt x \]
