Hi can somebody help me with this ; find the equation of tangent line to the curve y=2sinx+3cosx x=0 plsssss

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

using calculus ?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

\(\large\color{black}{ \displaystyle f'(x)=? }\)

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

So if you're given \(x=3\) , your point of tangency will be \((3~,~ f(3)\)

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

Then you find f'(x) which is your slope at the point of tangency, You find the slope at the point x=3, then use point slope form: \(y-y_0 = f'(x) (x-x_0)\) to find the equation of the line.

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

Does that make any sense?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Sandra, there is no reason to stay silent if you want to get help. If you don't understand something, then please ask.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

ok, bye

To help you use this site; this is not a "drop your homework and you get an answer"-site, as much as a great tool to interact and get help from people, learning what you are having problems with. "Teach a man to fish..." comes to mind. :)
