OpenStudy (a1234):

How can I reduce 5.045 to two sig figs?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well it should be 5.0 if you need 2 sig figs

OpenStudy (a1234):

But is 0 a sig fig? Getting confused about the rules...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0 is a sig fig if it is after the decimal when its after another sig fig, For example .004 only has one sig fig but 4.004 has 4

OpenStudy (a1234):

I see now. Thanks!

No problem :D
