Absolutely not. You cannot tear apart a function like that. \(\dfrac{d}{dx}\tan(x-y) = \sec^{2}(x-y)(1-\dfrac{dy}{dx}) = \sec^{2}(x-y)(1)-\sec^{2}(x-y)\dfrac{dy}{dx}\)
