You can get the x-coordinate of the vertex by this: x ver = -b/2a = -(6)/[2(-3)] = ?

That is what I got, too.
y = -x^2 + 6x -2 x coodinate of vertex is -6/(-2) = 3 Run that through the equation to get the y-coordinate: y = - (3)^2 + 6*3 -2 = ?
