Medal and fan. why is it important for the president of the United States to give citizens a sense of purpose and pride?

Because, otherwise the american people will lose their country if they are not proud of their countrys leader. Anarchy will reign, government will be overthrown, all because people wouldnt know what to do or how to do anything without some form of government influence. if that were to happen, other countries would try and seize the land or fight over this land, since we would have no purpose to fight back.
