Please help!!! I don't understand this.

OpenStudy (tamara7301):

what dont u understand

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

What is the solution of the system of equations?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the question?

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

What is the solution of the system of equations? 3x + 2y + z = 7 5x + 5y +4z = 3 3x + 2y + 3z = 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and each variable has to be consistent in each equation

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

i believe so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok that gives me a challenge of a sort......... but not much of a challenge

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

ive never done problems like this before

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its ok i will help

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

thank you so much :) Whats the 1st step

OpenStudy (tamara7301):

what ur teacher is sick man i dont even know this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first step is to look at the equations and see what you can find out about each one for instance from looking at all of the equations i can say that for each equation X is going to be different from the others, and the same thing for Y and Z

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so there for you will have 3 answers for each variable

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

okay :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in the first equation i can say that if Z =1 that you will have to say that X is going to be a 2 and the y is going to be a 0 but there are many different ways to make them all add up to 7 such as X=1 Y=3 and Z=1 that is what i would say for the first one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you following what i am saying

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

starting to make sence :) btw thanks a million for taking time to help me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the second one if Z = -1 than X= 0 or 1 and Y= 0 or 1 but if X=0 than Y= 1 and vise versa

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

that makes more sense the way your explaining it than my teacher did

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you very much and for the final one if Z=1 than X=0 and Y=-1 or if Z=0 than x=1 and Y=-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so there you have it as a set of equations if you need to find out a set of answers that work for all of them that the answer would have to be no solution

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

You are very welcome and thank youuuu soooooooo much for all of your kind help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem snow

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what you surprised that i know that you go by snow because that is what is said in you profile

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

most people know my name because it says SnowCrystal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it says that you go be snow and it says your full name

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

I know :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you know what my name is already than dont you

OpenStudy (snowcrystal):

Skyler :)
