What'y your question?

OpenStudy (freemap):

Which is the graph of f(x) = 2 • 4x?

OpenStudy (phi):

I assume you mean 2*4^x ?

OpenStudy (freemap):

yes

OpenStudy (phi):

what do you get for 4^0 (i.e when x is 0) ?

OpenStudy (freemap):

0?

OpenStudy (phi):

no. anything to the zero power is 1 (useful fact) so at x=0, y= 2*4^0 = 2*1 = 2 first find the graph that has y=2 when x=0

OpenStudy (freemap):

b?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

Hint, when \(x=0\) then we have: \(y=2 \cdot 4^0=2 \cdot 1= 2\)

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

correct!

OpenStudy (freemap):

Thank you

OpenStudy (michele_laino):
