What is the relationship between a translation and a rigid motion?

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

My guess: They only think of each other as friends. Jk lol The orientation can change in rigid motion but not in translations.

I'm pretty sure I'm right, but I'm just making sure

OpenStudy (just_one_last_goodbye):

A rigid motion is the action of taking an object and moving it to a different location without altering its shape or size. Reflections, rotations, translations, and glide reflections are all examples of rigid motions.
